Daily Prayers

Prayer is fundamental to our relationship with God. Here are some links to resources for prayer that you may find helpful in your daily lives as Christians. The resources will be added to in time.

The Northumbria Community

A diverse, worldwide, Christian Community, committed to a new way for living.

The Taize Community

Today, the Taizé Community is made up of over a hundred brothers, Catholics and from various Protestant backgrounds, coming from around thirty nations. By its very existence, the community is a “parable of community” that wants its life to be a sign of reconciliation between divided Christians and between separated peoples. The brothers of the community live solely by their work. They do not accept donations. In the same way, they do not accept personal inheritances for themselves; the community gives them to the very poor.

The Iona Community

The Iona Community is a dispersed Christian ecumenical community working for peace and social justice, rebuilding of community and the renewal of worship.

We are an ecumenical Christian community of men and women from different walks of life and different traditions in the Church engaged together, and with people of goodwill across the world, in acting, reflecting and praying for justice, peace and the integrity of creation; convinced that the inclusive community we seek must be embodied in the community we practise.

The Methodist Church

The calling of the Methodist Church is to respond to the gospel of God’s love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission

It does this through:

The Church exists to increase awareness of God’s presence and to celebrate God’s love

Learning and Caring

The Church exists to help people to grow and learn as Christians, through mutual support and care .

The Church exists to be a good neighbour to people in need and to challenge injustice.

The Church exists to make more followers of Jesus Christ
